Babbletype is a general transcription services company. Our offices are located in the United States, but we have staff and contractors worldwide. We have been in business for a long time, and produce thousands of transcripts monthly. We are always looking for qualified people to add to our transcription teams.
For transcriptionists who qualify, Babbletype is a great transcription company to work with. We offer an opportunity for stable, long-term, part-time work, and we pay with clockwork regularity.
Babbletype pays at an average of $0.15 per audio minute for verbatim transcription, and our current team members earn about $180 per month on average, or about $1.50 per hour, working part-time.

Requirements:
1. Candidate must possess at least at least 1 year(s) of working experience in Medical Transcription and or Legal/General Transcription is required for this position.
2. Preferrably has a Professional Certificate on ESL or any related Transcription Certification
3. Preferrably meet the following detailed requirements:
- Reliability. Babbletype only hires and retains reliable people. We'll work out a schedule with you of what days and times you'll be able to work with us. We'll expect you to keep us informed about your schedule at least a week in advance, and to inform us immediately about any changes. Once scheduled, we will be expecting you to arrive, and to do the work you agreed to do. Once you have taken or accepted an assignment, you will be expected to complete it, or to notify us immediately if you can't.
- Availability. Babbletype only hires and retains people able to transcribe: several hours per day, at least 30 minutes of audio per day (200 per week), at least 5 days per week. In addition, you need to be available to work between midnight and 5PM Philippine time, you need a flexible schedule, and you need to be able to work more than we've said above during peak periods.
- Equipment, software and Internet access. You need a computer and headset, the ability to have voice calls over Skype, a reliable Internet connection and the ability to download large audio files. You'll also need Gmail, Skype and PayPal accounts, and copies of Express Scribe, Google Chrome and Adobe Reader.
- Skills. You need strong computer and Internet skills. In transcription, you need to be able to transcribe with very high accuracy, including challenging audio, accents and multiple speaker recordings (we don't accept applicants only able to do easy files), and you also need very strong written language skills. You need good interpersonal skills and to be comfortable with a lot of communication and interaction.
